At the top of both the capitalist and communist political systems corruption is rife. Is there any difference between the two, or are political systems purely design ascetics?

corruption is a seperate issue.

Whether there is national healthcare and housing or private healthcare and housing, criminality will still exist.

The difference between the two philosophies is apparent, but neither eliminates corruption.

Communism, however, has been put into practice with disastrous results, because it requires a heavy concentration of power into the hands of the ruling class, and eliminates people's liberties and freedoms.

Capitalism has the advantage of, if AOL is mistreating you and billing you for service you never wanted, you can go with some other provider.

Under communism, there would only be AOL, and you would be required to have it, no matter how crappy their customer service is. That's bad.

Free market allows choice and competition and rewards innovation and hard work. Communism brings out the worst in people.

Although in a free market, you do tend to still get some power-hungry idiots at the top, there is still a competitor out there who might treat you better.

I do like the first answer, the man is okay, but, communism could be a very good form of government if it was adhered to in it's purest form, America tried Communism when the pilgrims came to America but found it didn't work and was abandoned in a very short while , it should work but greed of man makes it impossible, as some will want more and give less, therefore it can't work, Capitalism works but it is unfair in many ways also,
some people who work hard and really try but, for various reasons can't make a decent living or have a stable home etc, some will say it is because they are stupid or lazy or so many other things , which in many cases are not true. we could have socialized medicine for example , but it would be so abused it would become worthless as it is in Britain , Canada etc, but, for the majority capitalism is the best form of gov,

Capitalism is based on the idea that anyone can achieve alot. Its based on greed really everyone wants to have a big house and 5 cars that's why capitalism exists. People are naturally selfish and only care for them self's.

Communism is based on the idea that the state runs everything but at the same time its based on the believe that everyone should and is equal so you dont have one rich man sitting in his big house and next store ppl dieing in the street from starvation under Communism they would all have a house and all have a job.

And as for looking at north Korea and Cuba i think you will find plenty of country's with alot more unemployment and dirt roads :/. Cuba isn't that bad they got free health care yes that's right yanks in Cuba you don't die cos you cant afford health care cos you cant get a job because the government wouldn't support you in getting an education. In Cuba its free for everyone! America may have a low unemployment rate but you dont have social security to support those ppl. and your minimum wages makes ppl in every other western country look like millionaires

Go goggle earth and look at North Korea and Cuba then check out the USA. The first two have dirt roads, no jobs, and the people live in fear for their lives. The USA is the most modern country in the world, less than 5% unemployment, and a dynasty that will not be stopped. I think capitalism wins no contest.

Neither system works, at least not for the people. They both work fine for the so called elite. I believe that we can come up with a system which works for all the people, but in order to do this, we all have to understand that we are all one, and we are all worthy, and that we are our brother's and sister's keepers. If we are being kind, and compassionate to each other. if we are taking care of each other, if we are all sharing with everyone else, if we all understand that everything on this earth belongs equally to every living being on this earth, then we will be evolved enough to come up with a system that works for everyone, including the animals and the earth herself. Then and only then will we be truly doing God's will!!!

There's not really any difference between any political system; it's all still the same guys at the top fleecing and robbing the guys at the bottom.
