So I was out last night at the Christmas Ball, had too much to drink, got awfully drunk.
Basically, I need to know how to clean red wine out of pillows? I won't go into details. But I really need to know! They're not downy. Just normal ones. Can I machine wash them? Would they dry?

yes you can wash them in a clothes washer but you will have to reshape them as they will distort some in the process. Pre soak in cold water first for 1/2 hour then wash in COLD water with normal laundry soap. Air dry as the dryer will distort the pillows shape even more. Cold water will be best at taking out the wine stain if you use warm or hot water it will set the stain in and it will look terrible.

Hey, no judgements here, have done the same!

I wash my king size pillows every three months in the big machines at the laundromat. You may want to do it twice, use bleach the first time. The dry in the big laundromat dryers, it does take a long time. I try to do mine in the morning, then bring the mostly dry pillows home to finish drying in the dryer at home.

I've machine-washed my down pillows...just make sure they dry completely. They actually come out much fluffier.

If you're worried about the red stains, you might need to buy new pillows.

First soak them in cold water & rinse them out. Then wash them by hand or in the washing machine with a mix of laundry soaker & detergent. Rinse thoroughly and then hang them out in the sun to dry. If any of the stain is left try brushing it with toothpaste - that's good for all sorts of stains.
