get a cat
use your mouth
fly swatter
get a plastic cup and trap the fly when it is on a table/counter and put a lid on and keep it alive and put it in the freezer for a couple minutes to make it sleep then take it out and quickly tie a small string like a hair to the flys leg using a microscope to see. and when it wakes up you will have a fly on a leash!
my science teacher did it

Catching them with chopsticks is definitely the coolest way (second to a venus flytrap), but electronic bug zappers and fly paper are probably the most effective.

My sister and I used to catch them with a drinking glas or a cup when we were kids. In fairness we caught a lot by that technique..

Honey, they get stuck in it. But then again when things are sweet we all tend to get a little attached.
