I know that you are supposed to wait until you miss your period (and with some test as early as 4-5 before a missed period) but out of curiosity, has anyone out there actually found out they were pregnant before that? if so, how?

p.s. I do plan on waiting until i miss a period to test, but i am just curious.

I took 2 pregnancy tests (to be sure) a full 7 days before my period was even due and both were positive and they were right. The brands were "Answer" and "ClearBlue Easy" but i really liked the answer one better cause it showed up a very bold positive line while the clearblue one was faint looking.

You can take an at home test 19 days after the day you think you became pregnant.

It is possible and the way a PG test works is that it tests the levels of certain hormones in your body. The levels have to be so amount high before a test can tell you are pregnant so that is why most people say wait 2 weeks. If there is a way for you to get a bloodtest done it can pretty much tell you a week after if not a few days after. Good luck and i would say buy a test and take it one week and take it the next week at the end of the week so that you gave the levels enough time to build up. Oh yea remember to take it in the morning if you can...that is when the levels would be the highest...good luck

I had a home test show + 7 days before my period was due. It was very faint tho and I did loose the baby at 6 weeks.
If I didn't find out so early I probably wouldn't have known I was pregnant at all and passed it off as a late heavy period.

I found out I was pregnant exactly 4 days before my period should have started. I was extremely excited and went to the doctor's and they kept asking me if I missed a period yet, and I said no, and they seemed shocked to see me there but a urine and blood test confirmed I was right. My daughter will be 2 next month.
