As I am a student, i'll just present you my personal view of a kind teacher if you don't mind.
Well, first of all the atmosphere in class is very important - there schould be certain unbreakable rules like no talking or no coming in late and you schould state them clearly so that if something goes wrong the student know what they are being kicked out of class for. Another thing - be funny or atleast try to, allow a little discussion, but also limited. Don't ever schout, just be calm and strict. There you go! Good luck!

As far as you think you've done the things you should have, you are a good teacher. You don't have to be funny or too nice toward your students. Having fun in the class helps a lot but not too much fun, some teachers are not capable enough so they try and have too much fun in order to keep the students satisfy but they really are hiding their incapabilities by being funny. And once again I must mention that a good teacher is not one whom is liked by all students.

You need to asess where you are and where you want to be and then follow the right steps to get there. What is lacking now? Your lesson plans? Connection with students? whatever areas you are weak on read up on, get help from other teachers and people who understand what you are going through, Teachers are a valuable asset to our children and I am sure you are doing fine.

I always loved the teachers that smiled and laughed, that were not rigid in their method, willing to go out of their way for the students. However, the fact you are asking this question proves to me that you are a good teacher, even if you don't know it yet!

it's not enough to be successful teacher being kinder, but if it's the only problem, you should imagine that ur students r ur children. sometimes u have to be very strickt, and sometimes u should be understanding, but anytime u have to smile, make jokes, just be funny, and, of course, patient.

I am also a teacher and the best you can do for your students is to make learning a lot of fun. I had one little boy who wanted me to be his Mom, what a big compliment. Good Luck and Happy Teaching.

Look into your heart.....
Here is poem I wrote it might help..
Darkness lingers here and there,
I don't know why,
But life ain't fair,
With a shadow of doubt,
We turn out the light,
Then struggle through darkness
To make things right,
It seems to be that all around,
Pockets of light await to be found,
So in all confussion, anguish and fear,
Search for the light
For it''s always near,
Hold up your head,
Keep up the fight,
Anticipate tomorrow,
For it might be bright.

well, i think u should try to make learning fun...u know, get your students to understand the stuff by the easiest and most interesting tools available...don't lose your temper with students if they can't understand you...be pateient n explain again n again till the thing is carved out in every student's brain.
