and if so did Shaggy continuously eat them?

I always assumed that Shaggy was a stoner and would get Scooby high on his second hand smoke making them both very high alot of the time. Being high, they were paranoid and hungry more often then not. Scooby being well trained would do most anything for a doggy treat, and Shaggy, being Higher than a Kite, would eat most anything. Not to be left out I'm quite sure Fred Daphne and Velma were also casual pot smokers, but clearly not on the order of Shaggy.

Scooby Snax, as depicted in the show are simple dog treats on the order of Milk-Bone in my opinion.

If Scooby is dead, then how can he eat Scooby snacks? I always thought they were made from cats and kittens that were skinned alive. Notice there are no cats on the show... Not counting what comes out of the box in the form of a Scooby snack.

Scooby Snacks are a fictional food item of unknown and undetermined origin. Used as a form of bribery for the characters of Scooby-Doo and Shaggy from the Hanna-Barbera cartoon series Scooby-Doo and its various spinoffs. Producer William Hanna had always imagined that a "Scooby Snack" would taste like some sort of a caramel-flavored cookie (the batter, however, is colored like brown sugar and similar in color to butterscotch), and he and Joseph Barbera had previously used the concept of a dog that goes wild for doggie treats in the Quick Draw McGraw series in 1959.

Warner Bros. today licenses "Scooby Snacks" as both an official brand of doggie treats and as a human-consumable cookie snack. Vanilla wafers were packaged and sold as "Scooby Snacks" in Suncoast home video stores. The wafers were similar to Nilla Wafers.

They had all the characteristics of stoners . Always eating, always scared and they drove a VW hippie bus in the early 70's, if Scooby Snacks were not made of weed I am sure plenty of it was floating around them.

LOL! I've suspected the same thing!

These guys were always eating, they would see ghosts and monsters, Scooby wouldn't go into a dark room... but if they offered him one of his hemp cookies he'd gladly do it...

...he would always be giggling...
