i was just wondering if anyone here kept venomous snakes and what kind they keep.

karen B venomous snakes should be handled with snake hooks or tongs not by hand so the wildness really doesnt matter. no one should be free handling hots.

no, i never have kept a venomous snake, i did have a couple of king snakes. which are non-venomous.

I love snakes but there is no way that I would handle a venomous snake.

I had a pair of Osage Copperheads for about a week until my mom made me let them go. Also held a timber for about a day for a later photo session. Wish I could keep hots but its illegal in my state. No real experience with captive hots.

I've had a Rattlesnake before that I caught in the wilds. I actually held it once too. It's lighter than a rat snake for some reason. Unfortunately, it wouldn't eat at all and it died about a month later.

I kept a baby copperhead for about a week before I let it go. It just didn't seem like a good idea. I have my kings and corns and they are great because I can handle them with no worries.

i absolutly do not recomend venomous snakes, even hand raised from birth u cant knock the wild out of snake.
