I've heard that if you're gonna go untucked, it's better to do it with the button-down shirts that have the bottom "squared off" in the back. First, do you agree with that? Second, what does "squared off" mean when it comes to shirts?

I have some button down shirts, and the bottom part all looks the same on them. The bottoms look like they curve a little, dropping down maybe an inch. Does that mean I should wear these tucked in?

For example, can you tell from the picture if this Old Navy shirt is squared off? It says it has a "shirttail hem", so maybe that means it is not squared off. Would this shirt look good untucked?

I'm only talking about casual situations here, not something professional at all.

And yes, I am very clueless when it comes to anything fashion-related!

Thanks!

Well i guess the squared off means that the shirt is sr8 from the bottum not round !! i dont like those shrts anyway !!
and any shirt looks good untucked (on jeans or casual pants!) be sure not to close the last button though !! coz it looks nerdy :P
I luv it when guys where vests tucked in, with the shirt closed but few buttons left from the top n the bottom !!

Ok, it goes something like this:

-When it has all those curves down at the hem, it NEEDS to be tucked in.
-If it's straight all the way around you can opt tucked or UNtucked.
-Personally, I think button-down shirts that are UNtucked look sloppy on people.
-But there is one condition: when you are dressing in a caribbean-style with slacks and sandals an untucked shirt actually compliments the whole ensemble.

Alrighty! That's it! Hope I helped!

For casual wear, any kind of shirt can be left untucked. It looks better if it's not too long, regardless of the shape of the hem. Square ones are better but rounded ones are fine for a relaxed look. Guys who always tuck their shirts in look more conservative.

Emo, scene, goth, punk, gangster, etc. are each and all of the comparable. severe college bs. If a woman can no longer act her age, i'm no longer attracted. Majority of fellows out of highschool, and in step with probability in severe college, could on no account take a woman in maximum of those categories heavily or alluring. maximum of those categories are relabeled as "weirdo" and "freak" in simple terms so which you recognize. If I had to %., Preppy and Nerdy.
