you have an alarm?

If this guy knew what he was doing, and yes, this guy looked like a slimeball.

If your alarm system is monitored by an alarm company, then the system should have a battery back up that will send a signal reguardless. If the would be prowler were to cut the phones the alarm company should follow up with the authoritys as s.o. p.. Call your alarm service for piece of mind. Wireless signaling is also available.

Anyone who
"has been in your house and looked around everywhere, could break in undetected even if? you have an alarm?"

Especially if " this guy looked like a slimeball."
Our senses of people should not be overlooked lightly, especially if you generally get along with people and have been around town lately and everyone doesn't look like a "slimeball".

However, the damage is done.

Hopefully he is not a crook.
Hopefully, you hired a reputable company that took the care to do some checking of his background.

For a couple of nights of restful sleep, make sure the alarm is engaged and all doors and windows are locked. Make sure doors and windows are not jimmied in any way.

Good Luck

Yes. Does he work for a reputable company? If so, call the main boss and find out if they have had any complaints on him. Don't expect them to be honest, but you are planting a seed of doubt just in case something happens and you end up filing a police report later. When you tell the cops "I called Mr. Jones, the owner of the XYZ Electric Co., and told him I was uneasy about that guy he sent out", at least somebody will check him closer. Hopefully, nothing will end up happening, but the boss will make him clean up and be a little more professional, anyway.

If he's a licenced electrician then he probably makes twice as much money as you do. He probably came off as a slime ball to you because you tried to talk down to him because for the short time he was in your house ~you owned him ~ and treated him like an idiot so he was just rude right back to you. People have to understand that the tradesmen of today are not just skilled craftsmen but also very educated in their Fields of expertise. That's why you needed him there in the first place because he can do things safe and professionally that you wouldn't have a clue doing

Yes, he could. But why would you hire an electrician that looked like a slimeball?

Buy a Rottweiller. Electricians can't get past one of those.

Of course he could. If you suspect him of something under handed, check your system. Go around your abode opening and closing each armed opening. Your system should tell you when each is opened. If one does`nt open when it should, you may have made a good judgement call. Call your security company immediately. Then call the contractor.

No, he would not know how to disarm an alarm. If he does, he
doesnt need to break into anybodys house to make a good
living.
