If there is no trust...then what difference does it make if the person is a guy or a girl ? You can be acquaintances, and share a simple ' hi, how you doing ' type conversation. But friendship and no trust do not even belong in the same sentence in asking if you can be friends. This is not a gender question, it's a value and trust question.

You need to be able to trust someone to be friends with them...the level of trust to me, determines what type of friendship it is. I would say just based on what you mentioned to be friendly but not hold a friendship to where you would share secrets, concerns and rely on each other. If you could do that, there would be trust. All the best!

Hi!
Trust is of the utmost importance in all of our relationships., our whole life long. Without it, there is no base or basis upon which to build any kind of relationship, friendship. I would find it very difficult to be, or stay friends, with someone I no longer trusted or respected. Many people come into our lives, pick trustworthy ones to be friends with.
Good luck! :)
