In the anime Ichigo 100%, why did Jumpei got together with Nishino?

The story is really awful. Nishino was never shown on the show as much as Tojo and the others. Tojo and Jumpei are always being shown. It doesn't make sense that he would choose Nishino.

Sure he is because he confessed to her. She is rarely shown on the episodes, but not that rare.
In manga itselft Junpei choose Nishino than the other girl. You should read the manga if you wanna know the real ending of ichigo 100%
