Somewhat conservative (after the Bush appointees) but there is a swing vote, making it somewhat questionable which way rulings could land

Judicial restraint.
Roberts, Scalia, Thomas and Alito are for restraint
Kennedy is now the swing vote but I think he favors restraint.

Breyer just did an interview supporting activism.

It's mostly activism.

Consider Bush v. Gore and Lawrence v. Texas. That's one right-wing activist decision and one left-wing.

There is too much activism.
