i am from India and the climate here is kind off pretty hot all through the year. so i doubt whether keepin it off fresh air will effect his testicles in any way.

I do. I cloth diaper my son during the day and then use the Seventh Generation Non-Chlorine Bleached disposables on him at night. I have heard that disposables aren't good for baby boys because they heat up their testicles and might be the leading cause of adult male sterility! A little known fact. More people should cloth diaper for that reason alone... not to mention the environmental reasons. But I do understand how difficult it is to wake up in the middle of the night in a puddle of pee! :o) So... I think it's fine to use disposables at night. Just remember that there are alternatives to the chlorine-bleached ones (which may cause skin irritation, contain dioxins and polyacrylate gels). If they don't have them in your area you can buy them online at Drugstore.com (7th Generation Diapers).

My son doesn't experience rashes from using disposables at night.

Best wishes!

uhhhh...YES! if you are worried about rash then use a cream at night or anytime when you know that the diaper will be worn for an extended period of time. Balmex, Desitin, Butt Paste, or even vasalene or petroleum jelly. This will help keep the moisture away from the skin. Ive always used disposable diapers and my 2 year old daughter has had maybe 3 diaper rashes ever!

Yes - go ahead and use disposable diapers at night. I used cloth diapers for 5 months with baby #1, 2 months with baby #2, and after that, I realized the benefits of disposable (baby stayed drier and happier, more convenient) so for babies #3, #4 and #5 I used only disposable diapers.

Personally I have used disposable diapers from the time my daughter was born (9 months ago) and she has never had a diaper rash, ever.

I would give it a try. I don't think it would hurt anything.

By the way, I admire you for using cloth diapers. I wouldn't even know how to put one on my daughter. :)

Happy Holidays

Do you research on Diapers, as some absorb at night better than others. I use for my kids huggies all day and pampers at night until they are at least 6 months old. The pampers absorb better in the diaper itself so no rash. With, huggies, they absorb, but most of the wetness is right at the baby's bottom, therefore rash.

Try it out. And remember to do your due diligence.

probably over 90% of Americans use disposables. I tried the cloth ones for a while and I was working myself silly trying to keep it going. The disposables are great. No more rashes with paper than with cloth.

You can use whatever kind of diaper you want...it's your baby...It you leave a baby in any wet or soild diaper..they are bound to get a rash...get up for 5 minutes change his diaper and go back to sleep....it's not a big deal.

People use Only disposibles all the time... Im sure it will be fine. Its kinda like Breast Feeding and Bottle Feeding. Formula is not as good but it works just fine. Its a matter of preference.

I actually have five older sisters who all have kids and they've always used disposible diapers even right after birth, so take it from me, it's not harmful.
