There are those on one side that absolutely believe in the president and everything he says. They believe in the Military and its actions and in the imperialistic intentions of the US government.

Then on the other side you those whos distrust of the government is absolute. and who pretty much believe in the opposite of the what the other half believes.

I could honestly see both halves warring with each other. The middle ground is so sparce as to be pretty much non existant. Not to mentioon innefectual.
The US is polarized in away i dont see it ever recovering from.

Those in power hold what they have and lust for more... democrat or republican.

What is the outcome in the end of all this? America is absolutely right or absolutely wrong.
this divided country seams to be growing more divided everyday.

there is a real divide and it seems to balance on ignorance for the most part...no one is interested in critical, logical thought...everyone is thinking with his gut

I think I will use the typical right wing response.

Its the media, they are blindly going against whatever the right wing says because they're 'leftwing' or whatever.

However I don't think it could ever become a militarized war for 2 reasons:
1) All elected officials are trying to make money, get power, while still being re-electable; thus making them not so diffrent (as opposed to the civil war where there were slave states and free states)
2) should the right wing and left wing war with each other.. Which party tends to own guns?.. which party is trying to ban them? I can't ever imagine a another civil war ; especially over political beliefs of this scale (very minimal) but we must admit it would be a short conflict.

the right to dissent is fundemental to America, we will always disagree on issues, and often its the middle ground that comes up with viable solutions, on 9-11 virtually every American, liberal or conservative came together as one. While we are back to disagreeing over the war, and other issues, had one country steped up and said we attacked you, all of us would have been infavor of wiping them off the planet. When the Northen Allience rockets hit Kabul a few days later cheers went up all over America , as most thought yeah we are hitting back!m Then when we learned a few mintues later it wasnt the USA but Afghans themselves, most thought damn wish that had been our missles

The US is more powerfull than it has ever been. Less than 5% unemployment, DOW JONES at all time highs, people's net worth higher than it has ever been, more people owning their homes than ever before. Sorry but you really need to stop your agenda from letting you ask poor questions. We just don't buy your bull!

This country is divided because half the country has deluded themselves that appeasing terrorists makes us more secure, that bashing this country is called patriotism, that America is evil, that big business is evil, that abandoning Iraq will make us more secure, etc.
