The "K" just means thousands of dollars mate, trust me I use it all the time when txting or emailing people, including real estate agents I am dealing with at the moment....they understand that I mean thousands of dollars so its all good.

"K" comes from the metric "kilo", which means "one thousand". For example, a kilometer (km) is 1,000 meters.
