No, they would not make a good pet. .. Depends on where you are located as to whether or not they are legal. Check your local animal laws.
They are not reallly anymore expensive to keep than any other snake.. However, depending on your location, it could be very expensive if you get bitten. If the snakes are common where you live, then anti-venom will be easy to come by. If you live where these snakes are not native to the area, it could cost you up to $100,000 to import the anti-venom. And you should always have it on hand in case you are ever bitten.

no they do not make good pets at all. Think about this if you let your guard down and get bitten you will die in about an hour. Not to mention the permitts you have to buy that is about another $500 to spend.

Poisonous snakes are not a good idea to have as pets. It could be very expensive if they bite someone.

They make wonderful pets, especially for young children.
Don't worry about the venom, I've heard it tickles.
