Spainish Rule in the americas?

When did the Spanish Rule end in the Americas? When did it become English rule? And why?

Ok I know christopher columbus was from spain and spain and Queen Isabella and king Fredernand were rulers at that time so how did england end up governing the america until the revolutionarey war

ok chris discovered america....or so they say....he was from spain so why didn't spain rule america? When did england come into the picture?

Every country gained their indepence from either Spain, and Brazil from Portugal, in the specefic case of the United States, some States for example Texas and California were part of Mexico which obtain indepence in 1821 same as Central America, the rest of the States teh famous 13 colonies were controlled by the British and indepence wa in 1776, if that was your question, some others like Cuba, Puerto Rico after the spanish american war between USA and Spain. some others like Haite, Guyanas in South America from other countries like France.

Well, if you consider that America is a CONTINENT, not a country, then yes, Spanish conquered America, and actually Spanish discovered America. They came to Mexico, back then when what today is Texas, Arizona, California, New Mexico belonged to Mexico. Have you notice that most of the cities names in California are in Spanish? San Diego, San Francisco, Sa Clemente, Los Angeles, Sacramento and hundreds more, that should tell you something.

They ONLY ruled all Mexico, the south U.S. states (California, Arizona, Texas and New Mexico), Florida and almost all south America except Brazil (which is a really big country). It was a few right?
