Absolutely.
I learned a long time ago that I can't force friendships. It's tricky... but you have to figure out when it is time to say enough is enough. I will try and try and give and give and communicate and care and offer advice. And when I realize that it has become one sided with no give and take......just giving.... I realize it is time to let go. If someone really wants me, they will find me if they need me or if they realize how necessary they have become to me. If I know I have done all I can, I can't force the issue..... it will only push them away. If they come back to you..... you know it was supposed to be. If they don't..... it was never meant to be.

I know when it is time to leave someone alone--but I do not always listen. If it comes to that I rather see them smile at least once before I really truly do leave them alone.

Yeah sometimes that restraining order could be a clue to the more astute, but alas sometimes it takes a little pepper spray,
for some of us less than clueless in the art of social grace's maybe to get that message. But sometimes its hard to see.When the object of your attention thinks you can mind read. sometimes its good to get a 2nd and 3rd opinion..but not in the form of an arrest warrant.

Yes normally I pick up on the signals they give out when they want to be left alone. My radar is keen to that.

no. i have been with someone for awhile and its hard to leave my first love alone. so really i cant determine when to leave people alone.

I have misread cues a time or two, but once I get that feeling I retreat completely and let them approach me.
