My new apartment has a mildly sloped floor. My desk chair has wheels and will roll irritatingly when I'm trying to work. Any ideas how I can get it to stop rolling? I've even considered getting a new office chair without wheels but I can't find a single wheel-free office chair.

Put it on a small, low-pile area rug.

there's a kind of rolling chair with stoppers, like that of a stroller. you can buy that or you can just opt for one without wheels cause you wont really get to use it well since you have a sloped floor, ryt?

U should put a rug down or put the desk and chair at the bottom of the slope so it won't roll!!

The underside of an area rug can sometimes be slick. Get carpet remnants and (if you've got four wheels) cut eight of them to match the wheels of your chair. Glue two remnants together with slick sides together and stick each glued pair under a wheel.

wrap the wheels with a few passes of electrical tape. It will hardly be noticed and this shoud restrain the wheels just enough to keep the chair where you leave it.

Put a rug under your chair.

You can try popping the wheels off the chair and put on some felt feet .
