Nothing's "bad" about him. There are just a lot of haters who cannot measure up to him, so they really don't have the right to say much. His biggest problem is a lack of variety in his wrestling arsenal. He does the same thing over and over again, and it's quite limited. If he expanded more and developed a few new and effective moves, then he'd be much better off. He has charisma, aggression, mic skills, and marketability. He does NOT have good feuds, however, nor enough wrestling skills. These are all things that can be changed, though.

I don't hate Cena, but I don't love him either. Here's what I'd do to make him better:
More intense promos. I love it when Cena gets intense and serious. His humour can't be as cutting edge as a face as it was when he was a heel, but when he's serious (and not making poop or gay jokes) he's quite good on the mic.
More variety in his wrestling. As others have alluded to, he needs to add a few more moves to his resume. I'm sick of seeing the 5 knuckle shuffle into the FU or STFU. It also wouldn't hurt to see him in more "hardcore" style matches. His title match with JBL was WAY better then it should have been, because they told a good story by going to the extreme.

Mostly nothing is "bad" about him. There are just a lot of haters who doesn't know him, so they really don't have the right to say much. John Cena is kool and never gives up. So i would say he is one tough wrestler. About that question, i say i luv him!

He's pretty awesome to me. one of my favorite wrestlers, but there are people that don't like him due to the fact that he SEEMS to try and "act like something he's not" with the whole ghetto act. Also there's the whole thing with the limited variety on the wrestling, since he does the same moves over and over again.He's quite predictable. His feuds also tend to be bland, and get old pretty quickly. But other than that he's charming and funny, and I just don't see why else anyone wouldn't like him.

there's nothing bad about him. he's just plain boring and everyone got sick of his "fives moves of bore-doom". he needs to become a heel and change his entrance to "word life". make him do it the gangsta way. Everyone liked him when he was US Champ. Being a wwe champ is a tough position.

his marine gimmik is getting stale..he should be turned heel as fast as possible and start wearing the throwbacks
