My feeling is that you have to be best friends before you can be anything else. Because when the excitement of the union and beginning a new life together fades, it is your best friend you want by your side to help you make it through each day. They are the first to give you a shoulder to cry on, an ear to listen to your problems, and a hug to start and end your day. In this day and age, you absolutely need to be married to your best friend. You have 8 years together. I say yes! Take the next step and marry this person and have a wonderful and happy life together.

I can understand that the whole being hurt again would be hard but if you like him and you are already good friends why not try the whole relationship thing. Just because you are divorced doesn't mean you have to give up on happiness. God Bless and Good Luck. Be happy in life thats all we can do for us.

Sounds like an excuse. Sounds like your scared you cant live up to what he thinks you are, or maybe your just scare of losing someone who has always been there for all that time. You know what they say, Your sol mate is you best friend. Take a chance before its to late and you halve to regret later.

What the hell does being a divorcee have to do
with sharing your love and life with someone
special. If you feel something, go for it.
