I think you are right, seeing you studied the items and know first hand what they do...
Some of us have not been through schooling and know what chemicals from medications do to a small extent. I would personally never use meds myself just because I know they are a way of trying to curb a problem that needs to be cured through finding the reason why the problem happens in the first place.

There are no "miracle cures". Even when we take medications, we are putting tons of unnatural chemicals into our bodies. It may stop or slow some things wrong with us, but medication goes through our WHOLE bodies, not just the places we need them to be. Therefore, it's like taking a poison that helps decrease the main problem (sometimes at least and never to get rid of it, just stop it from being obvious) and while we ingest it it will damage five other things.

This is how the drug companies get money though. Each thing a doctor gives you to make something feel better makes you more sick eventually, so you have to take other drugs to help with those side effects and so on and so forth. Not only that, but you know yourself that when a doctor writes out prescriptions, he gets money from the drug manufacturers for every few people he gets to start the drugs...

It's about money, not being well. Sure, you yourself as a pharmacy student got into the trade for the sake of money too, but that doesn't mean that in the future you couldn't take this knowledge and use it for something greater. Say, going to college for holistic health next followed by alternative medicine and doctoring, writing books warning people about what you've studied so they can understand what the drugs are actually about, etc etc.

No matter what, though, I say keep doing what you are doing for the benefit of your own life, but learn from this and try to find ways for you to never use drugs yourself and to educate your family, friends and others about what you know. You could save lives by educating people for the future...

You are right. Too many people take more drugs than they need, and then they have to deal with the side effects. Good luck, I have been a nurse for over 30 years and I am looking for another way to help people, something with natural ways.

Most drugs are relatively safe if taken in the right amount. You should know that. Some of those nasty side effects like myalgia with statins are extremely rare. In the Drug information handbook, it actually gives the percentages of the side effects occurance.

You probably are right because of what you have studied, but you can't let it control your decisions about your own, or others' medications.
