I have a "friend" who uses every opportunity to go on my AIM sn and ask boys if they want to have sex (he's male, I'm female) and I have a feeling its because he resents that I am not dating him. These opportunites are few, because I have learned my lesson previously, but I feel the need to punish his behavior by screaming at him, then ignoring him. Does anyone else punish their friends? I feel that it is necessary.

I do I wish I didn't. Its hard not to don't feel bad maybe by us punishing them they understand how mad we are. By the way to punish them I cut them off until I am no longer mad however long that may take.

Punish them by screaming at them no. Ignoring yes. Don't scream they will think your a freak and stop hanging out with you. Just talk ot your friend about it maybe he will stop instead of you screaming at him.

When friends mess up I only stay away for awhile and let them regroup cause they know when they have messed up. Say nothing to them and your friend will be trying to figure you out because you will be giving them the unexpected.

I wouldn't punish, for this guy you described...get him gone period. You don't need such insulting behavior and doesn't appear to be a friend, appears abusive.

for my opinion, as long as it's not too grave a deed, you shouldn't punish your friends...they're people too...they make mistakes...give 'em tym to think about it...patience nd a forgiving heart are good factors of a great friendship...
