There are many. You could have said "The first 100 most overrated Movies" and people would scramble to let you know their first 10, at least.LOL.
I certainly do not agree with "The Shawshank Redemption" That was low keyed and low budget, but the critics picked it up right away as a great movie.
I find that most of the epic movies complete with the hype and propaganda fall short of expectations. I guess because of the drum rolling and the fanfare and the hoopla, it builds yourexpectations too high that you can only get dissapointed and say " Is that all?"
One of the newest dissapointments is Mel Gibsons"Apocalypto". Spare me the right in your face gore and overblown microscopic details of the hunt and the kill, a little finesse would have helped.
Sorry Maybe other really liked it.

The 2005 remake of King Kong. My brother and I laughed throughout the entire movie, because it was so corny and the acting was terrible.
I was so happy that I waste my money to go see that movie.
