The intelligence quotient is a ratio of a person's "mental age" to their actual age. More precisely it's (mental age/actual age)x100. So an IQ of 126 essentially means that this person is as intelligent as someone who is 1.26 times her age. So if she's 15 as you said, it means she has the intelligence of someone who is 18.9 years old (15x1.26).

A 126 is above average. 100 is about average and 180+ is genius. It means her brain is that of an 18.9 year old. IQ = (mental age divided by actual age) multiplied by 100.

80-120 low
121-140 average
141-160 smart
161+ Geniuss
I scored somewhere above 160 but I was 11 and the test was designed for adults so I guess I have about 200+. But if my teachers ever found out they would make me do more homework and skip grades and put me in gifted classes and stuff.
