Get your mind off of it.

Sleeping is ok, but in order to get a truly good nights sleep it is usually better to forget about the day...

Try one of the following;
Exercise until you 'break sweat'
Read a book
Watch something on TV that makes you smile
Talk to a friend (casually)
Talk to a close friend (about what depresses you)
Make your favorite drink/ meal

One way or the other, you have to break the cycle

Eat a little something with protein in it, then get a good night's rest. Tomorrow, keep your mind busy and get some exercise.
Try to resolve whatever might be worrying you and causing the depressed feeling. Sometimes the solutions are out of our hands, but you don't have to be depressed. Most times our feelings are *ours* to control, and you can make the choice to be content and happy.

Stop worrying about yourself and get out and find something that brings you back to reality.
So that way you can stop taking self-pity in yourself.
