Stephanie, please try to put ur feet on somebody's else shoes and u would understand. Imagine you're a young mom with a newborn. Who's gonna take care of my baby if i'm going to work? Think carefully before you judge someone.

Generally WIC and public aid is ran through individual counties. So if you've moved to a different county (sorry I'm geographically challenged *smiles) then you'll most likely have to change offices. I would call ASAP because you don't want to be without while you wait for appoinments.

(I can just imagine the answer from Stephanie that was deleted. Apparently she knows nothing about it and the fact that it actually takes quite a bit of income to NOT be accepted into the program)

I would call your local WIC office and ask. They would probably know better than anyone on here. It probably would be as easy as 1 2 3!

By the way, I am on WIC too. It is a wonderful program that help mothers and babies. Stephanie can stick it.

You can only be registered with the WIC agency for your area, the California helpline number is 1-800-852-5770, so for moving to LA you would need to change to the new agent. I'm on WIC and they're fantastic - they're always willing to help - they can also help you find a new doctor in the area.

How rude! I guess Stephanie knows nothing about the WIC program. No checks its a national Nutrition program for PG women! And how do you know she doesnt have a Job??? We aren't all Rich Close-minded snobs ya know? Ok... Im just going to stop now before I go into PML. People like you make me sick!

As for answer.. I'ld suggest calling the new office closest to U and asking.

I was on wic and medical, you will have to call them and switch to a new office. and make sure you do it ahead of time, makes them much happier, plus if you cant afford formula you dont want to go without checks.

How about asking what jobs are out there or what school can I go to. So what you are a young mom should have thought about it before having unprotected sex. Suck it up and welcome to parenting!
