I'm just wondering because I asked my culinary teacher before about the chef's uniform and how in came about, but apparently she doesn't know the answer. Well a lot of people will recognize the chef uniform, especially from the hospitality industry, as the toque, double-breasted white jacket, and the checkered black and white pants.

I'm a Sous Chef at a Marriott Hotel and I would be interested in how the uniform came about also. I believe it's based on french traditions so that would probably be a good place to look into the history of it.

Not sure on the specifics, but... the NBA signed a deal with Adidas so that they would provide NBA jerseys exclusively. When their deal is up, Nike can bid for the new contract. Until then they cannot make NBA apparel. To answer your second question, it really doesn't matter to me who provides the NBA with jerseys, etc. The jersey is and will always be more important than the person who made it

Not really sure. That's a good question. I will ask my supplier Uniforms Depot at http://www.uniformsdepot.com Perhaps that company would know the answer.
