A very monogamous guy 19 and a very promiscuous girl 24 have an adventurous summer and hit it off, from the start she declares that she is non monogamous. They have a long distance relationship for three years, both 'date' when not together. Then they plan a new adventure and live together and she stays monogamous for a year.

She never promises to be faithful but knows better than anyone how the guy will feel if she cheats. She says many times he is the love of her life and then has a one nighter with someone she has no intention of having a relationship with and is honest about it.

The guy coldly dumps her, never speaks to her agian.

Is there a right and wrong person? or was this just a train wreck waiting to happen?

She was the love of my life too.

How's there a wrong when you BOTH knew the consequences? If you said..hey if ya cheat it's over...and she said..hey i like to have sex, if i get the opportunity i'm gonna do it....where's the wrong? Ya'll (country go figure) pretty much did what you said ya'll would do soooo...can't be a wrong if there was an agreement. Was it a train wreck waiting to happen? OF COURSE! Unless you could accept an open relationship where both of you are the "main loves" and you just randomly grab people meant as 'sex toys' and do what ya gotta do with them...but in the end all the real good love is between the two of you. Some people have been able to do this...i still can't fathom how that works but.....it works for them. I mean what, was she gonna dump you when you go get your evening fix too?

Technically...if she can go have sex buddies..YOU should be entitled to it too...can't have the piece of the pie and then the whole cake...that's selfish. So if she can have this oh so STRONG LOVE for you...but get a fix every now and then from some stranger....then what's wrong with you doing the same?

I truly think that if people accept this casual sex thing like that...then for it to work..it has to be mutual...she gets some..YOU GET some...but you BOTH know that the companionship and comfort lies with each other....otherwise if one gets jealous and they're doing it too...that's hypocrasy and selfishness and should be immediately DISMISSED.

so...there's my answer.....BAM..thanks for the 2 points....and hope you find someone that shares your monogamy...we are very few left my friend.
