Hi
I would like to give you 6 steps to making new friends:
1JOIN A CLUB: It may sound obvious, but u won't meet new pals sitting in front of TV.Best way is to join an afterschool club (drama or singing).

2. WHO'S INTO WHAT?:Well u need to check out who has freindship potential,so strike up a conversation.Ask people what they like?their favorite music?what they are into?

3CRACK A JOKE: wHAT'S ESSENTIAL IN ANY GOOD PAL? SENSE OF HUMOR, OF COURSE!

4. TELL A SECRET:It dosen't have to be anything major , just some good gossip that u haven't told anyone yet!

5.BE INTERESTED:Don't keep on telling about urself.Ask them questions And don't be afraid 2 disagree.Lots of friendships start off with a good, heated debate.

6.MEET AND GREET : The main, unbreakable rule when u make a Pal is to not neglect ur old Pals
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Hpoe u succeed

You're not the average person. (I can tell from the fact that you didn't write anything else with your question.) So the average ideas aren't probably going to work for you. Lucky for you, I'm not an average guy, so I have some suggestions for you.

I have a personal website that talks about certain aspects of my life. It has allowed me to meet other people who share some of my same thoughts and experiences in various parts of the world. Many times, just being able to communicate with these people via e-mail gives me a sense of friendship and understanding even though I know it is unlikely I will ever be able to meet most of them in person.

Yahoo offers Yahoo Groups, which is a great place to find people interested in almost any topic you can imagine. If something interests you, join up with a group, introduce yourself, and you'll generally find that people will be very receptive to you.

Some of the best friendships I've developed have originated from online communications, and some of those have continued outside of the online communities in which they began, but with my praise also comes some warning: you really do have to be careful who you talk to online. Its not always easy to tell a genuine from a faker.

In similar vane with my idea about Yahoo Groups, you can also create or join a group in your own community so that people interested in a certain topic can come together to discuss it. Such groups are frequently advertised in newspapers or flyers posted in various parts of the town or city you live in. (They ARE easier to find in a city.)

The reasons I've offered these kind of suggestions is because its very difficult to build a friendship if you lack common interests with people, and I sense that you are not the most social of people. (Neither am I, actually, although you wouldn't know it by seeing me online. Online is so much easier for me than in-person.) Still, people aren't just going to find you unless you make it possible for them to do so. If you are willing to put yourself out there, eventually, youi'll be able to have some very satisfying friendships as a result.

No harm in making new friendship. Talk/chat with your would be friend for a few minutes, know his nature and then decide whether to make friendship with him/her or not? I like friendship and would love to chat with my friends for hours together exchanging views/ideas.
