Get this book: Why Bright Kids Get Poor Grades, and what you can do about it, by Dr. Sylvia Rimm. It has some excellent advice and the book is arranged by types of children according to their behavior, so you can probably flip through and figure out which type of child you have.. there's a great section, several actually, on what you can do as a parent at home and how you can talk to th teacher. Try that. There are used books on amazon I bet.

I had the same problems throughout my entire education, but if she was already in advanced reading, there's not much you can do other than see if you can convince the teacher to let her back in. Maybe she could make a contract promising she will behave properly. Teachers are generally open to that kind of thing.

Also, you may want to have a talk with her in private and find out if there's something about the teacher or her classmates that's provoking her to act up. Maybe there's a reason she's doing it besides boredom.

She may be bored, but she is going to have to learn to behave. She will have nothing but problems in school if her behavior isn't corrected now.
If the bad behavior continues, it will eventually impede her learning. She will spend so much time in time out she will not be able to keep up with her class. You have already seen how quickly she can be removed from accelerated programs.
Teachers talk. You don't want your daughter getting a reputation for being one of "those" kids.
I really don't mean to sound harsh, but it is the truth.

Yes, you are right. Your daughter is bored. You might need to ask the teacher if they would let your child participate to be the leader in the class, something like making her do more challenging things or fit her in a upper class level.

Very bright children will finish their work ahead of the rest of the class and misbehave out of boredom. They need to be challenged mentally by their school work but most schools don't have the ability to deal with bright children. Is it possible to get her in a school that allows each child to work at their own pace instead of every child being held back to the pace of the slower students.

a good spanking has never hurt. But really you need to help and talk to her . Any child need to learn to pay attention. Even if you think she is bored. Coach her and stress the importance of learning. and if she causes a real problem in class. Like disrupting it spank her, Ground her . discipline seems to be a forgotten teacher now days

I think maybe she is getting bored. have you tried having her tested she maybe smarter than the school is letting on. I got in a lot of trouble in the 6th grade and they thought i was ADD, but i wasnt and they tested me and put me in 8th grade classes. Try talking to the school.
