That's a question that just depends on your age and who you actually saw play the game... for instance, my opinion would be Ray Nitschke at LB, and either Carl Eller, or Alan Page at DL because those were some of the greatest of their day that I got to see on a regular basis... but the game changes so much that you can't say one era had better players than another. Rule changes have made the game so different these days that it isn't even funny...

Bob Lilly has to be the best lineman.
The LB position has evolved so much its hard to say, but:

OLB: Taylor
MLB: Singletary, Nitchke, maybe Ray Lewis?
