I live north of Seattle, they said they should have the power lines fixed by the end of the week. the reason some stations ran out of gas, was because some lost their power, and people drained the ones that still had power. I hope your son gets better, and you enjoy your visit to our state.

Some parts of WA were hit pretty hard by our windstorm.
The media, once again, is blowing the whole issue out of proportion.
Right now it is a crisp cool night, no rain, no wind.

We had an unusually warm summer, and winter hasn't been overly kind to us so far, but just check the weather channel for the week you will be here.

The wind storm is gone. The aftermath in some areas, downed trees, property damage may be moderate to extensive.
But Seattle is still standing and it is business as usual.

We do not have a gas shortage right now. If that changes in the next few days...I'll post it here.

Well,Nobody can predict the future, but I would say there's a good chance that the city at least will be up and running (mostly) normal.

You did not say how you where getting there, but if you plan to drive,be sure you have some extra blankets and gas with you. And also be ready to put on some snow chains....especially if you plan to go over Snowquelmie.........

You can also call 1-888-sno-info as soon as you get in the state and get some travel info or stop in a truck stop and go to the Diesel Fuel Desk and ask them about the road conditions..somebody there will know surely.....

Good Luck!!

First, the main factor of get admission to would be Tokyo's Narita international Airport. Your first concern is the place to stay. nicely, maximum motels in Tokyo are costly. I propose which you reside in Shinjuku for the mere actuality that countless the motels in that section have team which could communicate English. Hilton stands out as the costliest, however the Keio and the Washington motels are somewhat greater fee-effective. From Shinjuku you could pass each the place by prepare. As for spending money, you will could desire to funds for food, prepare and leisure. you could dodge ingesting at costly places by testing a number of the smaller self sufficient places. in case you won't be in a position to study and communicate eastern, ask in the event that they have an English menu. only ask English Menu? Even greater valuable you could consume on the purple meat-Rice bowl places. only purchase a value ticket and take a seat on the counter, hand the cost ticket and that they'll carry the bowl of purple meat and rice. Matsuya is my in demand, yet there is likewise Yoshinoya. there are a number of stuff to do and spot that are unfastened or on the factor of unfastened. maximum public parks and shrines are open to the standard public and that they could ask for a donation. you could pass to Meiji shrine, Ueno park, The museums at Ueno park for next to no longer something. additionally, you could pass to places like Asakusa, Shibuya, Imperial Palace and there is plenty to work out. Do your homework on flights and motels, pass by some funds workouts and spot how plenty it is going to fee you. good success, you're starting to be enjoyable.
