I believe Sacajewea was her name ,but need info for a report

That was her. Carried a newborn the whole way. You really should study her for your report. A very interesting story. Personally, I think Clark fell for her a little, to hear his journals. (She wasnt technically a "maiden", since she was married to a French Canadian trapper.

Very interesting woman. I hope you'll research her more. Wikipedia is a good starting point. Lots and lots of "between the lines" references to her in all Lewis and Clark histories. My personal theory is she was more than a guide. A very savvy woman who became a de facto "general" to the the clueless white boys who were in a world they didn't understand.
