For instance, I'm sure most of us knew/know in highschool the people who would talk to, sorry "loners/dorks", just so they could have a good laugh afterward about what the person said or how they acted?

Yes, you'd know. Its rather difficult to miss the signs.

I've actually been a loner most of my life, and as a result of that, sort of chose to be a dork too thoughout much of my elementary and highschool education. I used to hate being the loner, but never cared about being the dork. Of course, because of my dorkiness, I didn't exactly make it easy for me to not be a loner. People would always do strange things to me, like making fun of the way I chose to dress, or turning the lights out in the school restroom when I was inside a stall, or prank calling me at my house. I also made choices which I'm sure people noticed and talked about as well, like being much more comfortable interacting with teachers than I was ever comfortable interacting with fellow students. I worked hard at academics, and I knew some kids who did their homework 5 minutes before class asking me what their assignment was supposed to be. They certainly didn't seem to bother to ask anybody else.

So yeah, like I said, the signs are all there. All one has to do is read them.

The people who are talking about generally won't be able to look at you or ignore you
