not to!!
haha, jk. but really, just going over and over the material you need to learn and then you should get it.
i've heard that if you try to forget the stuff you read, then you end up remembering it (dont know if that really works but hey...)

I'm a senior biology major and my best method is to make flow charts (especially when it comes to physiology and pathways). For example to examine the effects of decreased blood sugar on the liver I would write:
Increased blood sugar ->Glugagon released->G protein ->adenylate cyclase activated -> cAMP release -> Protein kinase A activated...etc (-> equals an arrow)
I also write/draw things over and over again. Both methods make studying for me a lot faster and more efficient. GOOD LUCK!

Active Studying --don't laugh.
1) Skim your chapter
2) Read the questions at the end (the review)
3)Two column notes (split paper in half, on one side write your headings and sub headings)
4)Read it, and add high lights in the two column notes in the second column for each of the topics on the left side of the paper.
5)Answer the questions.
6)As you read also create a vocab sheet for the bold face words.

have someone discuss it with you ...... or teach someone.... play teacher. remember ... the best way to learn is to teach!!!! Catch hold of a friend who wants to study the subject and teach , discuss , ask and answer questions and ...... voila!!!! you have done it.
