I went once as a kid and thought it was ok... went again as an adult to the midnight flashlight tour they hold around Halloween and it was pretty good.

After visiting the Hearst Castle in San Simeon, my rating of the Winchester House went from "somewhat cool" to "just okay"

It is ok but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. I went twice when I lived there. The first time was during the day which wasn't as impressive. They do have night tours and we ended up going one Friday the 13th. That was alot more fun. I remember going to The Mystery Spot up in the Santa Cruz mountains that was cool too.

I've been there twice. The last time was in summer and SSOOO Hot, but it was interesting. I found that there are many innovations that are worth seeing, also the construction is beautiful with amazing architectural details. It depends on what you like to do. My daughter liked it too. She was 18 then.

Nothing toooo amusing. But, one time worth:
- Lot of rooms
- Doors and of course, roof have less height
- Convoluted stair-cases

I've never been, however, my son and daughter (then ages 9 and 14) went and weren't overly impressed.

yeah i went there and it was cool. It was all the little things that were interesting.
