God is NOT the creator of evil. We humans are. God created us in his image. But, he gave us something that allowed us to create evil: the freedom of choice. It is our choices that allow us to do evil things. If we choose to do evil, then we are evil. If we choose to do good, then we are good. God gave this to us to allow us to learn from our mistakes. If he made us perfect, we'd be just the same as him. However, he gave us a reason to live.
Another thing is that Christian logistics are flawed. If they say that God is the all powerful, all knowing, merciful God that he is (of which I believe he is), then why would he even create Satan or Hell? If he creates us, knowing that we will make the choices we make, good or evil, then why would he even create us in the first place? The reason is because we STILL have the POWER of the choice. In other words, we humans have the power to surprise him, to please him, and to make him happy. Even if we upset him, he knows that deep inside, we regret what we do.
The reason we as human beings created Satan and Hell is because of the skewed Christian logic. They came up with the idea to scare people into doing good. They CHOSE to create the idea of Satan and of Hell to MAKE us follow their path to righteousness. The thing is, we create our own path, regardless of what religion we all are. Our ultimate goal is to do good. But, both sides are their own point of view. "Evil" people do things because they think its for the best. "Good" people do things because they think its for the best. Either way, there is a path that is of TRUE good. Only God knows this path. We as imperfect humans cannot understand this path until we die. Then, when we die we go before God and in His presence we realize the error of our ways, feel horrible, and beg for his forgiveness. Him, being all loving and merciful, forgives us and allows us to Heaven, or gives us the choice to try again, and be reborn as another life on earth.
That's just what I believe...and that's my two cents.

God knows we need something to compare good to. How would we know who God is if we did not have evil? Although we perceive evil as something bad...it is actually good for us to experience evil because it draws us closer to what is good - God. God created free will and out of that came evil. Satan can not create anything. Satan is the opposite of God. The only thing satan can do is take what is already created and manipulate or make is appear as something good when in reality it is the opposite of that..

No, there is no reason to to think the Christain God exists, Christains read and interpid the so called God's word from the King James version. If its God's word it should only be one version, God's version! Which Don't Exists

Both of your premises are wrong. First, evil was not created by God or Satan. Evil is not tangible. Evil is anything outside the will of God. God did not make us to be robots; he made us free to not choose him, which results in evil. God nor the Devil created darkness, yet it exists. But God did create light. Darkness is but the absence of light. Evil is like the darkness.
The second wrong premise is that the Devil is equally as powerful as God. The Devil was once an angel in heaven. When he rebelled he was thrown out of heaven. But it wasn't God who threw him out, it was another angel named Michael. So you see, not only is the Devil not as powerful as God, he's not even as powerful as Michael, another angel.

He gave us free will which means we could make the choice weather we have good or evil in our lifes, But the sad thing is people tend to look at the evil instead of the good. God made us to worship him but he also what us to have a choice he wants us to do it freely not against our will Jesus loves all of us
may God bless you and merry Christmas

I have heard that evil isn't so much a separate creation as much as it is a perversion/breaking/misuse of good creation. For me this fits in better with the whole free-will argument and how evil can be allowed.

The reason is, because he gave us free will. Sure, he could make a nice little world where everyone were slaves of good, and had no choice, but that would be an inherently evil one. He gave us choice, and we abused it. But God did the right thing, and gave us the choice anyway!

I'm not sure of anything, none of us in our right minds are. I do, however, believe that there isn't a god, in the sense of the Christian god. Christianity, along with all religions, are just a bit too contrived and contradictory for my sensibilities.

God granted us Free will, God wanted his Angels to see why they should be loyal to him and not to satan.
Also God wanted to test the Loyalty of Mankind when he allowed a Forbidden Tree in the Garden of Eden.
