According to the autobiography of Santa Claus by Jeff Guinn it's Layla. Great book by the way & then there is a sequel all about her by the same author called "Mrs Claus saves Christmas"
I haven't read that one yet I own it but am saving it to read on the plane home Thursday afternoon.
Also there is a charming movie called Mrs Santa Claus starring Angela Lansbury. In that one she is refered to a Mrs North.

Not just "Mrs" like other people have said, Mrs Clause!
We all know 'in this male-o-centric society' that no one cares about her first name, as my femists friends would say. Haha.
She and Santa pumped out all those 'elves' even though they really are dwarves based on tolkien lore principles, so she must be one rockin' baby machine.
