I think you have made a rather strong, articulate case for treating YOU like a mature lady. It is more of a statistical thing, than anything else. How many of your contemporaries could have presented even 1/8 as good a case? The women who said your grammar was bad, was wrong. I think people that will get to know you now, will stop treating you as a baby.

I love(d) my preteen years...
Some ppl say preteen hood is ages 9-13... today's my last day as a preteen at that definition... I was enjoying myself, and all of a sudden, earlier today, I turned around and realized my preteen days were over... so to all you 9-13 year olds, "don't waste a second of your preteen years... they go by so quickly
Some adults think they're so good... "I can be as mean as want to you, but you will respect me," is what some of them seem to say. "I know everything, and you know nothing." "Dumb kids these days". The annoying phrases go on and on.
I'm so jealous of the fact that you're still 12. (sighs) I'm turning 14 tomorrow, as I said earlier, and I'm not sure I'm ready. And to think I was afraid of turning 12!!! :) Good luck

You have to be a teenager to be on these sights and 11 or 12 is not a teenager! and how can some of you give intelligent answers if you can't spell or speak proper English and ask dumb questions and most people aren't looking for answers from children and you haven't experienced enough in your life to give intelligent answers. Sorry, if I was looking for answers from a bunch of kids, then I would go to my 8 year old son that's what it would be like to get strategy advice from kiddies.

Okay there are slight exceptions to the rule...such as the geniuses that graduate from college at freakin 15,BUT even those children lack in EXPERIENCED inteligence. As in dealing with life itself, the people in it, and to survive among people's deception and points of view.
12 year olds are still children, if we kicked your behind outside in the cruel world would you be able to take care of yourself, get a full-time job, handle an apartment, any of that? NOOOOOO....you haven't even hit puberty....you're a young child.
Book smart enough to answer some of these these questions..yea, hell some of ya'll might even have something deigned much better than some of the dumb*ss answers people in their 20s answer. BUT....when it comes to life experiences, long-term relationships, and daily living when you're on your own...politics..the likes...then yea you can't really have much say because you haven't BEEN there..you haven't dealt with it yet...that's like a football player tryin to tell an artist how to his job..and he knows NOTHIN about what it means to be an artist.
That's life.

I agree with what you're saying, but theres a very common belief that experience comes with age, and older people are "better" and "smarter" than younger people. But the problem i see with this concept is that they think that their experience applies everywhere, so young people are not as smart compared to them. That's wrong because society is changing. Like, fast.
This doesn't just make 12 and 11 year olds geniuses however.

You are right! I am a grandmother of 8 from baby to age 20. 12 is one of my favorite ages. 11 to 14 year olds are beginning to be more "mature," are a lot of fun, . I love having them around. They have a great sense of humor and are not rebellious yet. And, most important of all, they know WAAAAAAAAY more about the computer than I do and can fix anything I mess up!

Maybe the fact that you use terms like, "geez" and "grrr" make adults take you less seriously. Perhaps if you would use appropriate punctuation and grammar, you would be taken seriously. See, you really do need to grow up. You are a baby. You are 12. Good luck. Check in again in about 15-20 years. We'll be waiting and ready to give you even more advice.

i think that is a tough age. you are kind of in between being a kid and a teen. i think it is tough because a lot of people just dont know what to do with you. they dont know how to treat you or how to approach you.
Personally i am an advocate and support you and look to help young people do well and serve others.
another issue is that a lot of people forget what it is like to be 11 or 12 and they lack patience.
