I've noticed in the last two months that there seems to be an unhappiness or sadness at the shop. Yet business is good and things are the same as happier times in the past, yet something is not right.....

I can't pinpoint the problem.....I just feel sense of change.....

What is it...what can I do...?

Christmas is the biggest cause of depression there is, it will pass and people will not be so damn moody.

Do others work with you? If so, see if they sense a difference too. Maybe something is bothering someone, and it hasn't really come to light yet. Or maybe you have changed, somehow. I don't know about you, but I get senses about things and sometimes dreams, and they happen. Have you brought in anyone new? Do you have competition in the area? Try to figure out exactly when you started sensing this, what day, who was there, what happened. Maybe an innocent joke or comment was taken wrong, and the person may or may not have shown that they were upset. They maybe harboring ill will towards you, and you are sensing it. Just try to think, and speak to others, is all I can advise.

Talk to your employees, and tell them what you are feeling. Perhaps what you are feeling is not without basis, but an unhappy employee. I am going through the same thing, and have pin-pointed the source, (IE. employee), and waiting on upper management to take action. I work with a team mentality, and rely heavily upon each of my employees. If one is weak, I encourage them, and coach them, to bring them up to speed. Once an employee express unhappiness on the job, I will do everything in my power to assist them in finding a positive result....be it a solution to their problem, or assisting them in finding another job.
