I've used mine for years.

Debit cards work great for most things. The only problem I've had with mine is while renting a car (most won't accept them) and hotel bills (they pull out lots of extra for a few days to cover possible damages).

I've got a Visa debit card and I've never had any trouble using it online. When you're making a purchase and it asks what type of card you've got you just select 'Visa' and it'll work whether you're using a debit or credit card.

Because it has the Visa logo on it you can use that debit card anywhere that takes Visa.

yes, just yesterday I used my check card at amazon and it accepted it perfectly. all visa check cards are accepted as visa credit cards unless someplace specifies another option for check card. Also unlike checks, a check card is instantaneous like a credit card.
