It will play older DVD but when I try to play newer DVDs it won't play them. Nothing happens. The DVD drive just keeps on making these beeping sounds. It will play a new DVD every once in a whilce, but then it stops working again.

go to the manufacturers website and look for a firmware update also look into updating your dvd playing software
