corporate media reports, instead, refering to independant research and actual facts when forming opinions about current affairs, if it wasn't true, then why would the government say it, they wouldn't lie, at least, they never have before

J. Alfred! I love your poem, and I love your politics too!

Thank goodness T.S. Eliot created you.

DO you dare disturb the universe? It thrives so on a lack of logic and the religious right. How could we live on actual truth?

Should we, after tea and cakes and ices, have the strength to force the moment to its crisis? What matter when one can weep and fast, weep and pray?

Eat that peach, J. Alfred! Let the others measure out their life in coffee spoons.

There can be several reasons why the government lies. One is Misinformation like when the liberal Democrats told Bush that Iraq should be invaded because of the arsenal of WMD Saddam had. Then after we invaded Iraq they said they tried to tell him there was no WMD there and we should have stayed out.

Another is that it is better to paint a rosier picture about a situation than the truth. Nobody wants to hear doom and gloom from our government all the time. A classic example would be the unemployment figures.

I'm very liberal..that being said, of course liberals oppose statements of government officials....but so do conservatives.

Politics are balanced in that everyone is equally hypocritical. I agree with you in that people need to truly think for themselves...but narrowing the party to one genre of people is a bit closed minded in my opinion. That also brings me to my issue with people voting for their party instead of the candidate. I am a registered Democrat, but that doesn't define how I'm going to vote. People need to 1) think for themselves, 2) draw their own conclusions, 3) vote for who they truly believe is the best candidate.

And I wouldn't be so free to say the government would never lie and has never lied. I'm not opposed to government, but to say they've never lied is ludicrous.

The government never lies? Buddy, GET OFF THE DAMN PIPE! If I had a penny for every lie the government has told, I'd make David Rockerfeller look like a welfare case! Wake up!

So sarcastic. I assume you are a liberal yourself since you mention independent research and actual facts. Someone who believes the party line would not know there's a difference between actual facts and government facts.

For some, information at the instant are not entered into the equation of any debate, and for some information are spun to in wonderful condition. of direction the left believes they are maximum suitable, and vice versa for the main suitable, you recognize my chum the large Eagle desires the two wings to fly. there is in simple terms one team I have confidence decrease than attorneys, and that's politicians.
