yes they can, just make sure you don't take too many off and put them back on it the wrong order. :)
but DON"T take off the space bar, some of them can be hard to put back together.
if you are having trouble taking off the keys, use a straight slot screwdriver.
and don't get the buttons wet, or your keyboard might not work any more

You can pop them off as some people have described (it'll seem like you're about to break them--don't worry, they're designed to be popped off and back on). But instead of doing it that way, I take a cloth with some cleaner or whatever on it, and just scrub at the keys while the computer is off. Doesn't matter how hard you press down on them when the computer's not on, so it works pretty well for me.

You can actually wash your keyboard! Take you keyboard and put it in the dish washer. Really you can do this! You must me sure that the keyboard is completely dry prior to connecting it to your PC.
Usually 3 days in a room temp place.
This would be the best way to wash/clean your keyboard.
Cheers!

Yes they do pop-off on most keyboards....i would check it with a key that you don't use though before pulling the rest of them.

this may sound wacky but it totally works. If u want to clean ur keyboard, simply put it into ur dishwasher and put on the gental cycle. This will clean out the junk thats in ur keyboard in no time. However, u have to DRY out the keyboard before attempting to use it, use a hair dryer or put it outside in the sun would help.
Hope this helps. good luck

You will not have to pop your keyboard if you respect your hardware: wash your hands before using, and keep them clean - no eating sticky buns, candy, whatnot ... As for dust, I have dust covers for my PC and keyboard. Inexpensive and worth it. Periodically, I merely wipe the keys with a soft cloth dampened with very mild detergent.

They can but if you are going to pop more than one off at a time you will want to make a diagram or something so that you can make sure you know where they go when you put them back on.
