Most of my corals are plain white and real (of course, no longer live). I want to dye them with dyes that won't harm the fish or invertibrates in the salt water tank. Suggestions?

I think the salt water would leach out all of the color, but food color I think would be the safest. Soaking in it until you get the color you like. This is just an idea and I don't know how long the color would hold.
