Women get sick when they're pregnant because the baby is attaching itself to their uterus and realeases hormones so that the mothers body doesnt reject the baby, thats why there is sickness....Now a women is going to go through enourmous changes, and obsticles while being pregnant, HORMONES are the reason for this. If a pregnant woman feels sick, sad, mad, or unhappy in any way, the best thing for the mother and the baby is to bring up her spirit. The baby can come out unhappy, stressed and that causes complications for the baby.....EVERYTHING the mother feels the baby feels. Well emotionally wise. Sometimes a pregnant woman needs to be pampered, and feel good about themselves because the baby drains thier emotions, energy, and thier spirit!

It is the womans hormones in overdrive, and some women get sick because their system is trying to get used to a foreign body inside of them....... to put it mildly, it is like severe stomach flu, that lasts for at least the first three months, and it includes nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to smells, and foods, and some times we get severe headaches, head colds, and even get diarreah... It is the most awful feeling you can feel, and some guys think that they understand (I've been sick before and it didn't bother me) but they are wrong take having the flu and multiply that by 100...

However, in some cases there are women out there who use this as an excuse to be lazy and pampered, and I know a girl like that.... But in most cases it is not fake.....

Also, I should add that not all women get sick when they are pregnant... with my first pregnancy, I had no symptoms what so ever, but with this one (I am 14 weeks) I have been sick all day everyday so far... and it sucks..... I have to force myself out of bed, but not until after I eat.. or I will have a dizzy spell, then run to the bathroom to puke...... and I have NO energy, when I eat I am sicker, but if I don't eat I will just keep puking until there is nothing left..... I am looking forward to feeling better, and lucky for me I have a wonderful husband who don't mind doing the dishes and giving our son a bath............ he can never really understand, but he tries his best......

It is called Morning Sickness, not Mourning Sickness. (if you know what Mourning is, you will understand )

It is because your body is not use to having someone living inside you. If you notice (at any point in your life) if a woman just had a baby, and then got pregnant, she would not have morning sickness for this pregnancy. She is already use to a baby in her uterus, and will not become sick.

If you have any other questions, please email me at rileyjh@kirafoundation.org. I am a teen pregnancy specialist, and I know alot about the subject.

Personal note: I have been pregnant twice, IT IS NOT FOR PITTY. We don't like it one bit.

This is actually a good sign and is a sign of a healthy pregnancy. I had morning sickness and I knew it was absolutely real. I had my doubts before I got pregnant, and that was my first sign, I could not stop getting sick. Then I found out I was pregnant, so it certainly wasn't fake or for pity it was real. You can also check babycenter.com and they can tell you all about pregnancy and it is a resource to pregnancy month to month and even after birth. Hope that helps.

No it is not! I didn't have bad morning sickness with my first son but with my second son it was really bad. It's called hormones. Hormones also make pregnant women moody. Hope you never have children. I have the feeling you won't be a very supportive father.

What is wrong with you?!? Why are you even asking this question? I never had mornig sickness when I was pregnant, but alot of my girlfriends have. Unfortunately, for most women, there's not much you can do about it. It's just part of being pregnant for some. Quit asking such stupid questions especially when they don't affect you.

Do you think I want to vomit all over my house, only to clean it up by myself.....HECK no! I mainly get sick in the mornings or mid afternoon while my hubby is still at the office. Its the increase in hormone in her body that makes her sick. I wish it was for pity!

They get sick because of either hormones or in my case , low blood sugar . Yeah right, we get sick because we want pity . You think i threw up on PURPOSE?? That is just a sad implication.

NO, IT'S NOT A FORM OF WANTING PITY!!!

Jerk. You get pregnant. See how sick you get. It's hormonal. It cannot, I repeat, cannot be helped.

Do a woman a favor -- NEVER become a father!
