recently i reconnected with an old friend from school after several years.he was really happy,we were getting along good and we were talking everyday then for no reason at all he stopped contacting me and im very confused as to why he would do this.we are both single and there was nothing romantic between us so what could have went wrong? everyone keeps telling me to forget him cuz hes a jerk and i do agree but its still bothering me.i called him once but im still in the dark since we only spoke for about 20 secs.its not like him to do this but if he no longer wants to stay in touch or be friends why cant he at least have the decency to tell me that?

It could be that he's seeing someone but is unsure if it'll work out so he doesn't want to be in touch with you anymore. If he was mature he would just tell you this. I think you have to back away from it and move on which may lead him to come clean and talk to you, but if not then you know he's just not worth worrying over and wondering. If he ca't communicate with you and express his feelings, trust me, he's not worth the effort you'll put into him. Now if he admitts he's shy or apprehensive because he's scared...whatever, then go for it. Give him a shot.

But please bear in mind that Sometimes the "shy and quiet" guy is sometimes evrything but shy and quiet. Sometimes it's a form of manipulation...a ploy to get you to become the aggressor so that if and when you figure him out he can blame you for your own victimization by saying, "well you pursued me. I didn't pursue you..." If someone likes you...even when they're a little nervous, it shows in some way, but when they're calling then suddenly stop and disappear. It's signs that they're flakey, unreliable, dishonest and immature: playing games. And when they're doing that, it's usually because there's another woman (or women) or they're just looking for a sex-flunkie. Beware. Good luck to you and God speed.

Perhaps you hurt him n some way or took offense to something. The best thing to do is to confront him on the subject and see what he says, Good luck.
