I believe it's about time some Hollywood stars with credibility under their belts stepped up and supported the gays. I'm not gay, but I have friends who are and seeing that Hollywood is accepting their differences and shows a story line that shows exactly what some of these people deal with everyday and even back then is hurting them emotionally and some people accept that homosexuality is a part of their everyday life.

OMG, if you thought they "showed a little to(sic) much"....too much of what? The mountains? The sheep? Yeah, I'd agree with that!
Personally, I was not thrilled with it. It apparently stayed pretty true to the original short story (except for Jack's family scenes in Texas...which were really bad). Some of the emotions rang true (the difficulty of their relationship given it's double-life nature). But, in the end, I didn't think it did much more than send an old, tired message: if you're gay, you better keep quiet, or else you'll end up dead or a loner. Sorry. I'm sick of that being the only gay story line (besides campy queerness) *Hollywood* is willing to tell.

1. I thought the photography/ Imagery was beautiful, good job director
2. it was a love story, a really good one. It had a plot w/ actual confrontations to why the two couldn't be together...gasp a plot! we don't see that in Hollywood anymore
3. creepy, no. It didn't show anything besides kissing and naked chest/butts....which is in any movie.
4. I really thought this movie was good, if it was between two females, two males, or a heterosexual couple, the movie had a good story line. Because it involved homosexual men it became more controversial, which is great for the film industry and opens more doors for actors, screen writers, and directors
5. the short story was only 30 pages....They adapted the stroy to the screen very well.

It was a very good romance movie.
And I've seen many straight sex scences in movies that showed way more than brokeback mountain.
And, I'm sure some people find straight sex scences kinda creepy.

I think it was pretty obvious what it was about. If people did not want to see two men in love then they should not have paid to see it.
I, as a gay man, have not seen it. I figured it would be too damn sad with the one guy dying in the end.

I was going to buy it but my sister who knows I'm for gay rights told me that I wouldn't be able to handle seeing the movie & that I'd cry for a week. She sais she'so sorry for the guys & can't believe that people are really that cruel. I told her to visit yahoo. Was it worse than the comments made on here?

I never finished it, It was boring and way too over-rated just because It was a gay movie.
I got about 30 minutes into it before wanting to stab my eyes out.

They didn't show too much compared to the abundance of R rated movies out there. you need to come into reality
The sad thing about the movie, is that they love each other so much, that one did not get to articulate it before the other died
That is the lesson of the movie
Grow up!

A little long and slow but I enjoyed the love story between the two hotties but what I didn't like was them being married to women. Yuk!

It made me look away from the screen and very uncomfortable. I think they went too far in some scenes, I think they forgot that some people were going to watch it in a theatre full of other people.
