Oh yeah, both of my kids snored, and they still do. one is 4 years and the other is 4 months. I think that it is kinda cute. If it sounds like the baby has alot of bugers and that is why he/she is snoring, try using the bulb syringe to get out the bugers, that might help. Good luck and congraulations on the new baby!! They are so much fun. :)

Well, I would suggest possibly calling Department of Family Services... not sure they could do anything though for stupidity. 6 months is not the earliest - as long as the baby is growing normally, 4 months is when you can begin rice cereal. 6 months you can begin introducing fruits and veggies. I think a 3 week old may be able to handle more than 2 ounces of milk. Depends on the weight, but I would hate to "limit" a baby to such an amount. You give a baby as much milk as they want. Cereal doesn't make a baby sleep through the night. Gaining weight does. Unless you can miraculously gain 10 pounds to the child, it just isn't going to happen. And feeding the baby cereal at this age may actually prolong "sleeping through the night". Since the baby can't digest the cereal, but will feel full, the baby will need evern MORE feedings because the baby is not getting the adequate amount of milk. This is why parenting licenses are a good thing!

Sure this could be normal, or something could be wrong! My step daughter snored in her sleep from the time she was born until she was about a year old and nothing was wrong with her. There are some conditions that can cause a baby to snore, just mention it to your pediatrician at his next check-up, if anything at least it will set your mind at ease!

My brother snored since he was 1 day old, so yes, it could be normal, and he is now 40 and still snores like a buzz saw.

Mine does the same when he's a had a long day.
Listen to his breathing; make sure he isn't pausing. Watch his chest too. My 1st born had sleep apnea, but didn't snore.
So snoring isn't always a bad sign.

My son is now 6, but he snored from the day he was born. I actually preferred it, I always know he was breathing (you know new mommy jitters). I would only worry about it if he sounds like he is struggling to breath.

He could have allergy's, have him check out by his Dr.. Also
check to see if your insurance covers for a humidifier. If not invest
in one it'll help him out. When my grand-daughter was only 3
months, my daughter and I knowtest that she was suffering from
allergy, tears was running down her cheek and they had her check out as well. When she turned 11 months, they found out she had Asthma, they do use their humidifier and it really works for the kids. So just have him check out just incase he has Allergy problems and they can keep and eye on this snoring and have it writen in his records. When he gets older he can get the right medications to treat it.

it is normal, my daughter did the same thing. try using a dehumidifier in his room at night. it will soften the soft pallet in the back of his throat and help him to not snore. also, make sure he isnt congested, he may have a cold if he's congested. good luck with your little one!

yes its ok for your baby to snore as long as the baby sleeps on his/her back to reduce the chance of SIDS.

Yep! it's normal. If you are worried..you can tilt him on his side just a bit...but keep him mostly on his back.
